GAP PR and Marketing goes international

 

Relevant work experience is crucial when applying for a job. But would you travel to the other side of the world for an internship? Well Manchester’s GAP PR and Marketing’s work placement students do.

Work placements from international students are in hot demand at GAP PR and Marketing. Earlier a student came from Hong Kong to complete a twelve week internship, a German student is currently now completing one and when she leaves a student from Paris will jet over.

GAP PR and Marketing’s Managing Director, Guy Parker, comments, “I regularly receive CV’s requesting work experience and if one impresses me I’ll accept the applicant for a placement. All the students bring different skills and fresh ideas to the company, and we hopefully give them an insight into what it’s like to work in PR and Marketing while helping international students perfect their English.”

GAP PR and Marketing’s current student Janina Knopp is studying at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt. She explains why she chose complete her work experience at a PR Agency in Manchester, “It’s culture and history seemed very interesting, plus its location is ideal to visit other cities such as Liverpool, London, Dublin or even Scotland.”

Janina’s comments on her experience so far, “The team at GAP PR and Marketing have provided me with the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the company. They treat me as a full member of their company even though I am only a trainee. I love Manchester and hope to get a job here when I graduate.”
